We are conducting this research to help us find out more about what behaviours people use to manage their weight (for example, recording how much they weigh or what they eat) and how these might be related to weight loss success. Eventually, we hope this research will help us learn more about what people can do to lose weight on their own or with the help of others. There are no risks from being involved in this study.

If you decide to participate in this study, you will be asked to logon to the OxFAB app or website and answer some questions about your efforts to lose weight. Sessions can last for as little as five minutes, and ideally wed like you to log on at least twice a week for three months. You can also track your weight. You will also be able to review the strategies you are using, and to see what strategies other people in the study are using.

This research is funded by the National Institute for Health Research School for Primary Care Research (NIHR SPCR) and National Institute for Health Research Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (NIHR CLAHRC) Oxford at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.
